ELLIS Unit Graz
The ELLIS Unit Graz at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) advances foundational machine learning research in the fields of Brain-inspired ML, Resource-efficient Deep Learning, Human-centred Computing, Trustworthy AI, Visual Computing, and Probabilistic ML.
Our mission is to reinforce Europe’s machine learning leadership by
- developing an in-depth understanding of the contemporary ML systems,
- creating methods that are principled, efficient, and practically applicable across domains,
- and driving innovation of robust, interpretable and impactful AI technologies.
In our unit we focus on talent development, foster interdisciplinary collaboration through the tight coupling with our partners, and keep strong connections to industry for industrial and societal relevance.
The ELLIS Unit Graz is a member of the ELSA Network and the ELIAS Virtual Centre of Excellence.
